Today, I ran the Run for the Cure 5k! Running it from start to finish - while taking the more ‘scenic’ (ie. hilly and rougher terrain) route.
I stand here today to tell you there is nothing you can’t do if you really work towards it. Before the spring of 2012, I had never put any serious thought into running. I had an injury in school that prevented me from competing in track and field my first year - and since I never found running particularly fun - I just never did.
This past spring I began running…I first only started running .5k - that’s it. I kept pushing myself each week to extend my route. I made it a goal that this fall I would run in a 5k event.
When it comes to exercising, make it a promise to yourself to never let your excuses keep you from getting in shape. “Every accomplishment starts with your decision to try.” “It doesn’t get easier…you just get stronger.”

Dear Photograph,It was forty one years ago on September 30th,1971 that I was being pushed in a stroller by my mother and my brother at Walt Disney World. My father was a member of the press, so we had access to the park the day before it officially opened on October 1st. Last year I took my daughter back to this very spot and she was the same age that I was in this photograph. That in itself really made our visit magical.Todd
